Our Artistic Side

We all have creative impulses to express ourselves – the desire to write, paint, sew or build.  It’s this self-expression that makes life uniquely yours. At Casa de Mañana, art and artists are everywhere. The artistic flair of La Jolla Village as well as its idyllic location inspires our residents to create. Almost everyday someone, like resident Fran Byer, sets up an easel on the Coast Walk to capture the spectacular views and sunsets and our art studio is filled with residents exploring every medium imaginable.

At our Front Porch Gallery in Carlsbad, we not only exhibit the artwork of our residents, we also celebrate those remarkable artists who’ve created them. The Front Porch Gallery also partners with community arts organizations to create an understanding of aging through art.
